Founded in 1983 the Association of Financial Professionals of Puerto Rico has welcomed into its ranks members from different fields of the financial sector. The AFP-PR evolved from the Puerto Rico Treasury Management Association to its current organization, thus diversifying the professions included in its membership.  Currently, it includes professionals not only from management and decision-making field, but also from investment, manufacture, customer service, and cash management.

Members come from both private and public sectors, and are employed in financial, educational, manufacturing and institutions. The AFP-PR is affiliated with the Association for Financial Professionals of the United States with a membership of more than 12,000 active members.

·        Annual Convention featuring workshops and seminars for professional and personal development.

·        Continuing Education Credits for the AFP Certified Treasury Professionals program (CTP), CPA, CTE, etc.
